Enneagram at Work

Improve self-awareness, communication and teamwork

“Why Do They Work Like That?” Understand Your Team Better with the Enneagram at Work

Have you ever found yourself frustrated by a colleague’s approach to work?
Maybe someone on your team seems overly perfectionistic, while another rushes to finish tasks without much attention to detail. Or perhaps you’re completely puzzled by a teammate who avoids conflict at all costs — even when issues clearly need to be addressed.

These moments of confusion are more than just personality clashes, they’re often the result of not understanding that different people are wired differently.

That’s where the Enneagram comes in.

The Enneagram is a powerful personality framework that helps uncover not just how people behave, but why. With nine core types, each with their own distinct motivations, strengths, and blind spots, the Enneagram offers a fresh lens for improving workplace communication and team collaboration. In an upcoming workshop with Dave, we’ll learn about the good side and the bad side of each core type and how you can identify them.

Achiever is an Enneagram type at work.

What you will learn:

  • Self-awareness

  • Teamwork and collaboration

  • Leadership improvements

  • Conflict resolution skills

  • Improve delivery and receipt of constructive criticism

  • Productivity improvements

Lunch and workshop are offered at NO CHARGE!!

Back to School and Back to Football

Crisp mornings are returning, the kids are back in school, and college football has returned! Anyone who knows me, knows that I’m excited about OSU’s chances, this and every year.

OSU Student Athlete

As we all know, leadership doesn’t come from playing football, but from the experience of going to college. It comes from the exposure to different kinds of thinking, to direct challenges to your belief systems, and from networking and growing.

It’s the excitement of all of these experiences that could unlock doors for collegiate athletes in the future, just as it has for me and my teammates. When we find time to get together these days, as we do periodically, we often marvel about the trajectory that our careers took after our days at OSU football. As student athletes, we gained life skills that propelled us into traditionally-defined success in business. So, if you’re on the fence about getting your child involved in sports, consider the many ways they will benefit from the connections they make and skills they gain as a part of their journey as athletic scholars.

Finding Joy is Easy these Days

Our family has been blessed with two new grandchildren. Our two children each had a child of their own within five months of each other! My wife, Linda, and I have been enjoying every moment with them and have been luxuriating in our favorite new titles of Grandma and Grandpa.

They giggle and play when they are together, having fun with cousin time already! We can’t wait to watch them continue to grow even closer to one another as they begin to discover one another’s personalities. So, if you need me, chances are I’ll be spending as much time as I can with my grandkids!

When they’re not keeping me busy, I still find lots of time to talk about your business challenges and find reasonable solutions to help you work through them.
